How to Measure the Diameter of Cotton Thread
Some buyers measure the cotton thread directly with a caliper. However, this method compresses the thread, which leads to a smaller value. As a result, some may feel that our thread looks thinner compared to others.
In fact, our measurement method is as follows:
Find a round rod or similar object, and wind the cotton thread around it 20 turns;
The winding tension should be moderate — not too loose or too tight (the more turns, the more accurate the result);
Measure the total length of the 20 turns with a ruler;
Divide the total length by 20 to get the actual diameter of the thread.
Please note: The diameters we mark are obtained by manual measurement. There may be slight deviations, and our results may differ from those measured by other sellers. This does not mean our thread is thinner.
